Are You and Your Spouse on the Same Schedule?

Years ago when we first married, my spouse and I spent all of our time together.  We worked at the same place, and had the same hours.  We were seldom separated from one another.

As we aged, my hubby required less sleep and I found it necessary to get more rest.  I’ve always needed more siesta time.  My husband used to sleep as much as me, but with age he can’t.

Now, he goes to bed by 8 or 9 at night, and I’m never in bed before 10:30 p.m. and sometimes much later.  He’s usually up between four and six in the morning, and I get up at seven thirty most days, unless I stay up very late.

My hubby likes to be on the go all the time and he wants me to go with him.  Since, I’m an author I want to stay home and write.  We compromise so both of us get what we want some of the time but not always.

What differences in your schedule do you have to work out with your spouse?

Anyone who has my ebooks can request a personalized inscription from http://www.kindlegraph.com/authors/SandraKMarshall.

Have a great week and see you next Sunday.

Do You Have A Dream?

Tomorrow is Martin Luther King Day.  His words, 'I have a dream' have gone down in history and will always be remembered.  Those words apply to all of us.  Everyone should have dreams and some of them should be fulfilled.

When I was a kid, I thought I wanted to be a spy until I read about some of the things they did to spies.  I wasn't into torture like having your fingernails, eyelids and worse removed.  I dreamed of traveling, and I lucked out in getting a job with an airline so that dream came true.

I thought horses were wonderful, and I eventually got one of my own.  Although, I gave him up a few years later when my hubby gave me a choice of him or the horse.  He was afraid I was going to get hurt, and he didn't want to be married to a vegetable.

I loved reading, and I thought I might be able to write.  Hubby wanted me to try.  In fact, it really was his idea, but I began to dream of becoming an author, and I made it.  Now, I have a dream of writing a classic that will be remembered through the ages.  Making the New York Times top ten list is not enough for me.  Smile.

What is your dream?  If you have one, go for it.  You won't make every dream come true, but more of them will be fulfilled if you try.

Have a great week.  See you next Sunday.

Best always,

Do You Keep Up With Technology?

Hi Everyone,

Technology is forever changing.  Just when you think you know how to do something some bright person comes up with a new idea.  To be honest with you even though technology is helpful I’m at my limit to learning more.  I think.  But maybe not.

Recently, I was shown the latest cell phone and it could do everything I could do on my computer and more.  There were so many apps on that phone.  The person showing it to me had an app for directions to any place he wanted to go.  That phone had every app any person would want to have.  I’m trying to figure out how apps might help me.

I think I did great just learning how to blog and make a website.  I can even size photos, but do I really want to do all this?  No!  I just want to write and forget all of this other stuff.

On top of all this, my hubby decided to change our server.  So for the last three days, I’ve been trying to change my email address on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Yahoo groups, Google, Yahoo, Ning groups, LinkedIn and Blogger.  I know I’ve forgotten some places. Maybe, it will cut down on my emails.  Grin.

Technology may be great but it causes me more work.  How do you feel about technology?  Do you keep up, or not?

Have a great week.  I’ll see you next Sunday.  In the meantime, feel free to visit my author page at Amazon:  http://www.amazon.com/author/sandramarshall  If you want a Kindlegraph for any of my books go to http://kindlegraph.com/requests to request one.

Did You Celebrate the New Year?

Hi Everyone,

I'm a little late getting here today.  No, I wasn't up at midnight to ring in the new year.  Unstead, we started out early yesterday going for breakfast, and we were out all day until about 5:30 p.m. (not late at all) celebrating the end of 2011.

2011 was a horrible year for many people.  I can't begin to tell you all the horror stories I've heard, but they are chilling.  In 2012, I hope there is some relief in sight for everyone in the world.

I'm wishing you a happy, healthy and wonderful 2012.

Best Wishes,
Sandra K. Marshall
